Rene Russo and Rose Namajunas Bio

Rene Marie Russo was an American film director, actor, and supermodel. She is known for her beautiful beauty and her longevity in the highly competitive film industry reflects her talent and skills as performer. Her career began as a fashion model in 1970, her rise quickly to prominence. In the early 1990s, she began studying acting and theatre. In the following years, after that, in Los Angeles and California she made her first stage appearances. In 1987, Russo played Eden Kendell on ABC's show Sable. In her first film Major League two years after, she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. She was initially doubtful about her talent as an actor but the critics became convinced by her consistent performance. In Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak she was hailed by critics for the way she performed to Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman as well as other actors. However, according to her own words she never was passionate about the acting. She decided in 2005 to go on a lengthy, self-imposed pause. In 2006, she made a comeback in Thor. She also appeared in the Oscar winner film Nightcrawler, produced by her husband. The Intern, and Just Getting Started were comedies with a light-hearted tone that she appeared in.

Rose Namajunas, one of the UFC's most popular female athletes, is an accomplished athlete. Her first fight was as an amateur fighter, competing at various regional competitions. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her up and she later became a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championships. After joining the UFC She has been a household name thanks to her success within and outside the Octagon. Namajunas was born on the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose was a basketball player and kickboxing as she grew to maturity. Her first appearance in professional competition when she was 18 at the Invicta Fighting Championships in which she was able to win two matches by submission. Dana White noticed this and when she was in December 2014 at age 22, she signed her for a fight as a strawweight in the UFC. Rose has experienced highs and lows in her career, however, she has always come out with a victory. Rose fought Carla Esparza at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in April 2015. The winner was given the Women's Strawweight Title as well as the title of the title of Fighter of the Night. It was the first time a woman competed against a major promotion for a championship. Namajunas kept winning other victories, including 2 victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her the title of Performance of the Night by UFC.
